2009 Announcements

Scott purchased Nolde, a 17.1h Chestnut Danish Warmblood for Lisa's upcoming 40th birthday!  Nolde has a PhD in dressage (okay, just kidding) but he is a Grand Prix School Master who has done it all, has Schwung, is super sweet and a total character.  Nolde spent three years in Conrad Schumacher's barn and his training is fabulous.  Nolde will turn 19 on July 10th, which incidentally is Lisa's late grandfather's birth date and one of her best friends birth date... Seriously, how cool is that?  Getting Nolde is one of the best parts about turning 40!  Here's a picture of him in his new arena...he thinks he's pretty hot stuff.  We do too!  Everyone here just loves him!

Lisa and her Friesian, Wils, went to Florida for some intensive winter dressage training for the month of February.  It was truly an unforgettable experience full of excitement and education.  During that time, Lisa was able to meet 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist in Dressage, Anky Van Grunsven from the Netherlands.  It was Anky's first time riding in the USA for the World Dressage Masters Show.  She won the Grand Prix Musical Freestyle with a score of 79.60.  It was AMAZING!  Anky is a class act.  She was so nice, gracious and kind. It was an honor to meet her.  By the way...we were both freezing as it was in the forties in Florida that night, and she still had no problem staying out a little longer to talk with me and pose for a picture.
